The E4809-770-013 is a control board produced by Okuma for the E4809 CNC Boards series and installed in numerically controlled machine platforms. It supervises power delivery and diagnostic signaling between the main controller and the drive modules used in industrial automation. This function allows the machine control system to respond quickly to status changes and fault conditions during cutting or forming cycles. The board also provides a central location for monitoring supply conditions and communicating drive-related faults to the machine controller.
Status information is presented through 10 alarm LEDs arranged by priority, allowing operating conditions to be identified at a glance. The indicator colors consist of 6 red, 3 yellow, and 1 green LED, separating critical faults, warnings, and ready states. The board accepts a three-phase 220 VAC supply that is stepped down by internal transformers before power is distributed to the logic and sensor circuits. When paired with compatible Okuma inverters, the board supports drive outputs of 30, 50, or 75 A. The selected current rating is set through the SW7 rotary switch, with positions 1, 2, and 3 corresponding to the available output levels. An overcurrent event is detected when the phase current exceeds 10% of IOCM; the board then interrupts the gate commands and raises a fault. Primary power is scaled by three blue-labeled TAM transformers that isolate the individual phases before rectification. The SW7 selector is positioned on the lower BDC board near the current shunts, reducing the required trace length for the sensing circuit. This placement supports stable current measurement while keeping the output-rating control accessible within the board assembly.
