The E4809-436-027-F is a high-end cable assembly manufactured by Okuma that is designed to be used in industrial automation control systems.
Being a member of the E4809 family, the cable ensures the stable transfer of signals among the electronic components, so it is crucial to ensure the accuracy of communication in CNC machines. This is a 27-inch cable assembly with 24 AWG stranded copper conductors (7 x 30 configuration) that boasts great flexibility and conductivity. The insulation is of strong PVC, which makes it resistant to mechanical abrasion, oil, and chemicals that are likely to be encountered in an industrial environment. This cable features a foil shield, 360 drain wire-supported design that provides excellent EMI/RFI rejection, important in high electrical noise environments. The E4809-436-027-F has a D-Sub 25-pin male connector on one side and a D-Sub 25-pin female connector on the other, and is thus suitable for use with standard I/O ports on CNC equipment and control modules.
Each contact carries up to about 5 A of current, appropriate to data and signal switching in medium-duty applications. The cable has a voltage rating of 300V and can operate within a temperature range of -20 -80 °C, thereby being able to work in a relatively large number of environmental situations. It has a VW-1 flame rating standard, which guarantees some level of fire resistance to ensure higher safety.
