The E4809-045-122-D board is a control and memory handling board by Okuma made for CNC machines. It helps keep the system running smoothly and keeps data safe when the system shuts down. The board is meant to work with electrical systems that are already in use in industrial automation.
To keep the settings, the power must be turned off before it can be removed, but the battery connection must be kept. Compatible EPROM readers are needed to read from memory. The board uses a number of logic and memory driver ICs that come in DIP packages. Power is controlled by transistors in the TO-220 and TO-92 styles and voltage controllers. For screening power, electrolytic capacitors like 25V 470μF and 50V types are put in place. Also there are red and blue film capacitors that help separate the signals and block noise. To connect to a backplane or daughterboard, use a big male header with many pins. Edge connectors that are smaller are used for ribbon or system bus connections. With this board user can utilize OPUS software to back up parameters without removing the board from the CNC machine.

Different memory entry methods are needed for ICs that need to be programmed in-circuit or that are socketed. Film capacitors block electrical noise that can mess up signals.
