The E4809-045-034-A ECPA board was designed by Okuma to work with the OPUS3000 CNC control system. The board-managed signal routing and processing activities can help with machine control and monitoring. The main IC, an Intel N82S09F 8116, is a bipolar PROM that saves and initializes programs.

Buffering, multiplexing, and data latching are all handled by the E4809-045-034-A ECPA board's TTL logic components, which comprise SN74LS240N, SN74LS158, SN74LS273, SN74LS244, and SN74LS138. An octal buffer and line driver, the SN74LS240N allows for direction control and signal isolation. Resistors designated as 100Ω, 2K, and 51Ω are additional components that serve to regulate current and condition the signal. Ceramic discs with the numbers 104 and 100pF on them are used as capacitors for filtering and decoupling.
