The E4809-032-498-B belongs to the E4809 CNC Boards series manufactured by Okuma. It is a service and control printed-circuit assembly installed inside machine-tool drive cabinets to supervise power modules and relay status data to the numerical controller. Acting as an intermediary between an SVP command board and the servo amplifier stage, the board distributes power-on signals, monitors fault lines, and helps synchronize axis drives in automated machining centers. This role allows cabinet-level control signals to be passed to the drive hardware in a coordinated way.
This board is an SVC PC Board that contains the service logic and diagnostic circuitry for the spindle and axis drives. All motion requests arrive as a Digital RCON stream, are conditioned, and then forwarded to the attached hardware. Operating power is supplied by a 3-phase 220 VAC feed routed through the cabinet network. A bank of 7 configuration micro-switches allows address selection and protection settings. For diagnostics, the assembly provides 10 service LEDs arranged as six red, three yellow, and one green indicator. The yellow indicators report OC, SAT, and SAOP, while the green PSON lamp shows that enable signals are present.
The board connects to the drive side through a BDU-A bus connector and supports power module ratings of 30 A, 50 A, and 75 A without additional jumpers. Overcurrent supervision is handled by an analog comparator that trips at 10% of the IOCM level, giving the control circuit an early warning before the main limit is reached. Six dedicated red LEDs indicate PH Loss, VR Loss, IOCM, IOCS, LV, and HV fault conditions when those lines assert. SW7, the final configuration selector, is mounted on the BDC Lower Board, so that setting can be changed while the main board remains seated in the cabinet.
