The E4809-032-452-D PC board features a solder mask for its protection. The solder mask in this Okuma board is a thin lacquer-like material that is applied on both sides of the board to safeguard it against oxidation and corrosion. It has a great impact on the board and enhances its lifespan while protecting it against performance degradation at the same time. This solder mask or resist also helps to keep the accessory free of external environmental influences like dust and other contaminants that can cause shorts in the long run. The solder mask process of this unit is carried out during fabrication and can be applied to the PCB in several ways.
