Product Description:

The MF-EC1 is a robust expansion module manufactured by Okuma Corporation in Japan for its OSP product series. It features a compact construction and a number of I/O terminal blocks to physically connect external devices during operation. As an expansion module, this device can handle digital inputs and outputs depending on the intended application. Its front panel features a numbered row for labeling channel positions during operation. Each label corresponds to a physical I/O pin or logical address that can be used to extend the capabilities and functions of a particular automation device. Like other Okuma modules, this device requires a DC terminal voltage input.

The MF-EC1 has a port block or connector section, which can be used to connect relay coils, limit switches, and other proximity sensors. On the right side of its front panel, the MF-EC1 features a standard X1 label. At its core, this electrical module can be used to detect on or off states from external sensors. Depending on the automation system design, the MF-EC1 can be used to trigger interrupts or notify other controllers upon detecting switching conditions or states of sensors. Aside from digital input detection, the MF-EC1 can also be used to drive external devices indirectly.

The MF-EC1 is a compact electrical device that can also communicate with the main CNC controller or other proprietary circuit boards manufactured by Okuma. Usually, expansion modules such as the MF-EC1 are connected to other panels or modules to integrate other external devices or sensors that are otherwise absent from the original host device. Similar to other Okuma modules, the MF-EC1 can be mounted using a 35 mm DIN rail. Wake Industrial offers the MF-EC1 alongside a one-year item warranty.
