The E0241-653-054B is a digital input interface card designed for Okuma's OSP‑5 CNC control system which resides within the machine's input and output rack that connects via a gold plated edge connector to the backplane. It is designed to capture and process up to 10 discrete input signals, such as limit switches, safety interlocks, tool changer sensors and other industrial automation inputs.
The E0241-653-054B Board has a robust 50 pin D sub external connector which facilitates wiring integration with the machine's field devices that ensures secure and organized routing of signals. It is included with multiple TTL logic chips that includes inverters, quad inverters with Schmitt trigger inputs and latches which collectively condition and buffer incoming signals to enhance noise immunity and maintain signal integrity. It is featured with an array of pull up or pull down resistors aligned with each channel which ensures defined logic levels when signals are inactive and its supporting power stability and transient suppression are electrolytic and ceramic capacitors distributed strategically across the PCB.
