The DC-S1B DC power supply manufactured by Okuma is used to provide the needed power for a two-axis servo drive. The power supply can have a battery input and an ultralow voltage input apart from the AC input and DC input. The product helps in converting the AC supply voltage to the required DC voltage. There are four vital components in this device. These are the transformer, rectifier, filter and regulator. The transformer is used to step down or lower the supply voltage based on the needs of the associated servo drive. In other words, it decreases the incoming voltage to the required outgoing voltage level.

The rectifier in a DC power supply helps in straightening the current direction. This rectifier also converts the alternating current that reverses the direction of the current periodically to a direct current that flows only in one direction.
