The E4809-045-145-A is an AC spindle drive top board from Okuma. The Japanese manufacturer is well-known for its different types of motors for varying needs and their related accessories. The card is categorized as a process logic controller with preloaded firmware that helps to control several functional parameters. This accessory is sold with a warranty period of one year.

The top card features PCB mounting style and is of VAC III board type. The unit acts as a communicator with the motor. The E4809 series accessory along with the spindle drive must not be used when there is the hazard of exposure to water or any coolant. They must be completely dry when you use them. The card is meant to serve as a part of motors that are used to operate CNC machinery. It weighs close to 1.3 kg. The manufacturer’s VAC III board has multiple LEDs on its surface. Three LEDs M1, M2, and M3 help to identify whether the motor and the board are in working condition. A flickering LED indicates that there is a problem. When none of the LEDs are on, it shows that everything is normal and in working condition. The Power LED gets illuminated in green color when the board receives power supply. The VAC III unit must have a voltage supply in the 170to 242VAC range at 50/60Hz between its input terminal and the ground terminal. It comes with two installation holes, each of which has a 10mm diameter. These holes are to fix the board in place.
