The BLII-D30-30A is a dual-axis AC servo drive released by Okuma for the BL Servo Motors series. It converts command signals from a CNC controller into precise current and voltage profiles for two motor axes, allowing coordinated positioning and speed regulation. By integrating both the power stage and control logic in one enclosure, the drive simplifies cabinet wiring and reduces the footprint in multi-axis installations used on lathes, machining centers, and ancillary equipment.
The drive’s control section is built around the SVCII Board (2-Axis), a processor card that manages loop gains, fault detection, and parameter storage for each channel. Control power is supplied as a single-phase feed at 100 V, isolating sensitive logic from the higher-energy motor lines. The first axis, identified as the larger motor channel, can deliver up to 30 A of continuous current, and the second axis matches that current rating for symmetric machine layouts. Torque power enters through a three-phase main circuit rated at 200 V, enabling direct connection to standard factory buses without an autotransformer. Thermal design permits reliable operation in ambient air temperatures up to 55 °C, and a cabinet airflow limit of 45 °C protects components during long production runs.
Continuous duty is allowed while relative humidity remains below 75% RH, and the electronics can withstand short spikes to 95% RH during washdown or seasonal swings. When the line is idle, storage conditions may fall to -20 °C or rise to 60 °C without compromising dielectric strength, so spare units can be kept in unheated stockrooms. Mechanical integrity is verified for vibration levels up to 0.5 G, preventing nuisance trips when the cabinet is near stamping presses or high-speed rotary equipment.
