Product Description:

Okuma is a Japanese manufacturer of a wide range of automation products and CNC machine tools, including lathes, grinders, machining centers, and CNC controls. Each product displays a high degree of operational reliability and is suitable for different kinds of industrial applications. The Okuma BL series is a family of three-phase AC motors. The motors are available in varying sizes, speeds, and torques; hence, users can select the models that are best suited for the applications that they desire.

The BL-MS140E-30TN-A is a three-phase Okuma servo motor in the BL  series. It has a continuous power rating of 4.3kW and a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. The motor’s stall torque is 15.1Nm. A connecting voltage of 160V is required for its operation with a frequency of 150Hz. Because it is a product of insulation class F according to the NEMA standards, its winding insulation requires a maximum permissible temperature of the value of 155oC. It has 6 poles and a current rating of 16.8A.

The IEC motor frame size of the BL-MS140E-30TN-A is given as 34-1 by Okuma. Its compatible encoder is the Okuma ER-FC-20480. It should be operated at an ambient temperature within limits of 0oC and 40oC, while its surface temperature should not be more than 45oC. The specified maximum recommended vibration rating of this motor must be adhered to extend its service life. The use of harmful chips, lubricating oils, and coolants must also be avoided, except as specified by Okuma.
