Product Description:
Okuma’s BL servo motor series is one of the most reputable motor product lines available on the market today. Characterized by their high power output and stall torque, BL servomotors are heavily used in industrial applications and large automation systems. BL servomotors come with different output shafts, form factors, encoder types, and nameplate ratings. Derived from the BL product series, the BL-MC200J-20SBA is an original Okuma servomotor designed for spindle applications and servo automation systems. The BL-MC200J-20SBA comes with a spindle shaft, perfect for connecting servo loads and components. As a three-phase servomotor, the BL-MC200J-20SBA requires a nominal input voltage of 157 volts in wye configuration.
The BL-MC200J-20SBA features a shaft seal, which effectively allows the motor to resist the intrusion of low-pressure liquid jets and small particulates. During operation, this AC motor utilizes a permanent magnet to induce force across the rotor. Like other servomotors, the BL-MC200J-20SBA does not come with built-in protection devices and systems. Usually, the servo drive provides the protection functions for the AC motor while also implementing feedback and control functions. The BL-MC200J-20SBA employs a built-in encoder, which allows the servo drive to monitor changes in the shaft position, speed, or torque. Depending on the intended application, the servo drive may be used to vary the output of the servomotor.
The BL-MC200J-20SBA has an insulation class of F, allowing it to withstand a maximum hotspot temperature of up to 155 degrees Celsius. Since the motor windings inside the servomotor generate heat during operation, the surface temperature of the motor can easily achieve a value greater than 80 degrees Celsius during continuous mode. Proper equipment must be used to handle the motor, especially during active operation, to avoid injuries.
