Product Description:

The BL-H700E-10T is one of Okuma Corporation’s most distinguished BL servomotors, characterized by its high insulation rating. For servomotors and AC machines, the insulation category determines the maximum temperature that the machine can withstand along its frame. The BL-H700E-10T, specifically, has an insulation class of F, allowing it to withstand hotspots with a maximum temperature of 155 degrees Celsius. During nominal operation of servomotors, the windings of the motor typically generate heat due to copper losses. The heat is dissipated throughout its frame, which can accumulate into hotspots. Because AC machines such as servomotors can achieve relatively high surface temperatures during operation, it is not advisable to touch them when operating.

For naturally cooled servomotors such as the BL-H700E-10T, the recommended waiting time before touching the motor is at least five times the thermal time constant. Naturally cooled motors, which rely on air convection, typically have a nominal thermal time constant between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the motor rating. Since the BL-H700E-10T has a large power output, the time it takes for the motor to fully cool is much longer than standard-size servomotors. As a BL servomotor, the BL-H700E-10T can deliver a continuous power output of 7 kilowatts during operation.

Like other BL servomotors by Okuma, the BL-H700E-10T achieves a low shaft output during nominal conditions. Particularly, at the rated power output, the BL-H700E-10T can only achieve a nominal shaft velocity of 1000 rpm. The BL-H700E-10T comes with a spur gear on its output shaft, allowing it to directly drive other gears and pinions. Although this AC machine has a relatively high power output, it has a short output shaft, making it applicable for close-contact applications.
