Product Description:
The BL-D 15D is a BL II-D series servo amplifier that is specially designed to enhance advanced machine tool operation with precision and ruggedness. The efficient yet space-saving amplifier measuring dimensions of about 466 to 482 mm width, about 80 mm height, and about 123 mm width internally is perfectly suitable to be installed into narrow control cabinets without sacrificing airflow and point of connection access.
The unit is equipped with an internal dynamic brake (DB) feature, a necessity for deceleration braking in the event of sudden stop or emergency. But to cater to high inertia load applications—five times that of the mounted motor's own inertia—a discrete resistor circuit is advisable to dissipate the excess energy and ensure stability. At the front panel, BL-D 15D has several LED lights that improve diagnostic readability and enable operators to read system status directly. It has a green PON LED for power-on indication, yellow OP light for reset or disabled indication, and several red LEDs like OCM, OV, and UV to warn users of typical fault conditions such as overcurrent, overvoltage, or undervoltage. This visual feedback minimizes the time the unit is down and makes it easy to troubleshoot. The amplifier includes wiring detailed schematics and pin-outs for connectors such as XB1, XB2, XB3, etc., for installation and maintenance purposes so that easy interfacing to the remainder of the control system can be obtained. Excessive protection against mishandling of the signal and low likelihood of miswiring are incorporated in each connector.
