M.1015.6980 is a servo motor with an optional holding brake. The motor is manufactured by Kollmorgen. It is part of the YSM brushless motor series. Applications of YSM series motors include medical/laboratory equipment, office machines, and robotics. Operators can order YSM motors with windings rated for 115 Volts or 230 Volts. The windings on the M.1015.6980 motor are rated for 230 Volts. The brake installed on the motor is rated for 24 Volts DC. This is the voltage of the release signal required for the magnetic release mechanism to allow the motor shaft to rotate. Housings of YSM motors comply with IP43 requirements.
