The device converts fixed three-phase mains power into a programmable output so that squirrel-cage induction motors can maintain commanded speed and torque during start-up, normal running, or deceleration. By integrating current, voltage, and flux feedback loops, the drive acts as the regulating element between a PLC and the motor, helping automated machinery maintain repeatable velocity profiles while reducing mechanical stress.

It accepts a three-phase input of 380–460 VAC at 48–62 Hz and internally produces output frequencies from 0–120 Hz, allowing constant-torque operation below base speed and constant-horsepower operation above it.
