U9M4H is a U series servo motor from Kollmorgen’s ServoDisc product line. These motors are designed for applications that require motors with a low profile. The motor’s design, specifically the flat disc armature, enables a low profile, making it ideal for applications that have space constraints and require superior performance. This series of motors supports a number of options, including integrated or external tachometers and optical encoders for feedback. In addition, operators can order the motors with fail-safe brakes for additional operating safety. This series of servo motors requires a motor controller, and Kollmorgen’s EM19 linear amplifiers and KXA Plus amplifiers can be used with them. These are ironless motors with low inertia for fast acceleration and low energy consumption. The brushes used on the motors have a long operating lifespan.
