Product Description:
N9M4LR is a Kollmorgen ServoDisc N-series motor. It is made with neodymium magnet technology for ultra-fast acceleration, good speed control, and low RFI. The motor brushes have a long operating life which leads to low maintenance requirements. This motor has a flat disc armature that delivers a low profile with excellent operating characteristics. Compatible products include amplifiers form the EM19 and KXA Plus series. Options for N-series motors include optical encoders, brakes and tachometers. The N9M4LR motor does not feature a tachometer. Its peak torque output is 515 N-cm. It is designed to deliver 3000 RPM rated speed. Kollmorgen recommends maximum 6000 RPM speed for the motor. The rated power output of the motor unit is 140 Watts. Continuous torque ratings for the motor include 40 N-com at 40 degrees and 44 N-cm at 25 degrees Celsius.
The motor operates with zero cogging torque. Its continuous stall torque rating is 44 N-cm. Electrical specifications for the Kollmorgen servo motor include 16 Volts terminal voltage, 13.7 Amps continuous stall current, 151 Amps peak current and 14 Amps rated continuous current. Weight of the N9M4LR servo motor is only 1.4 kilograms. It is an extremely compact motor with a diameter of only 4.37 inches and a length of only 0.94 inches. High voltage and current run through the motor and pose a safety risk to working personnel. Kollmorgen provides instructions related to motor operation and safety in the relevant product documentation. Personnel tasked with motor handling and operation should read, understand, and implement manufacturer recommendations. This will help to prevent accidents and serious injuries. Professional installation will also prevent installation errors, leading to reliable motor operation.
