N12M4LR is a Kollmorgen low profile motor. It is part of the ServoDisc N series that are compatible with amplifiers from the KXA Plus and EM19 product lines. Features of the motor include neodymium magnet technology, fast acceleration, high throughput, long brush life, low RFI and zero cogging. Operators can order the motor with or without a tachometer, optical encoder, or brake. A tachometer is not available on the N12M4LR motor. This motor features a unique flat disc armature design, which significantly reduces inertia and eliminates cogging, allowing for rapid acceleration and smooth operation. The peak acceleration rate for the motor is 80.1 kRad/s2. Its mechanical time constant is 4.2 milliseconds and the electrical time constant is less than 0.27 milliseconds. The motor delivers continuous output power at a rate of 6.4 kW/s.
