Product Description:
The Superior Electric SE2102 is a SE2000 series DC motor controller. It is designed for use with permanent magnet motors. It is a basic on-off model which includes a power unit with single pole AC line circuit breaker. It can be used with either single-phase 115 Volts AC input or single-phase 230 Volts AC input. The motor power capacity which the controller can handle at 115 Volts AC is ¼ to 1 Horsepower. The motor power capacity which the controller can handle at 230 Volts AC is ½ to 2 Horsepower. The controller is used with other user components to form a drive package. The user is responsible for the proper selection of parts and controller operation. The SE2102 controller should be installed and maintained only by qualified personnel. Equipment damage or personal injury may occur if this recommendation is not implemented.
The main AC power input to the SE2102 must be disconnected before any maintenance-related activity is performed. A fused main disconnect switch should be installed between the AC line and the drive system. The ambient temperature should not be allowed to exceed 55 degrees Celsius for chassis mount units or 40 degrees Celsius for enclosed units. It should be ensured that the ambient air is not contaminated with caustic chemical vapors, excessive dust or moisture. The SE2102 should be mounted in the vertical orientation to enable air flow over the heat sinks. Adequate clearance should be provided on all sides of the mounted controller to facilitate inspection and maintenance. The controller mounting area should be vibration-free. The SE2102 controller should be properly grounded. Dimensions of the controller are 8.5 x 7.25 x 5 inches.
