Product Description:
The Superior Electric SE2002 is an advanced digital DC motor controller. It is part of the SE2000 series and is designed to control shunt wound and permanent magnet DC motors from 0.25 to 5 horsepower. The SE2002 is a power unit only model which consists of a control board, a SCR power bridge and terminals. The controller can be used to control 0.25 to 1 Horsepower rated motors at 115 volts AC and 0.5 to 2 Horsepower rated motors at 230 Volts AC. The controller is only compatible with single-phase AC input. At 115 Volts AC, the DC output voltage is 0 to 90 Volts DC for the armature and 50/100 Volts DC for the field. At 230 Volts AC, the DC output voltage is 0 to 180 Volts DC for the armature and 100/200 Volts DC for the field.
The recommended operating conditions are maximum altitude of 3300 feet, maximum ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and maximum relative humidity of 95%. Service factor for the controller is 1.0. The duty is continuous. The SE2002 can sustain up to 150% of maximum load capacity for 1 minute. Line protection is provided through the use of a circuit breaker. The speed reference signal voltage is 0 to 10 Volts DC and 4 to 20 milliamps (grounded or ungrounded). The current range (torque) is 25 to 150%. The maximum speed is configurable for 60 to 110% of motor base speed. The minimum speed is configurable for 0 to 30% of motor base speed. IR compensation on the SE2002 improves load regulation is armature feedback mode. Only trained personnel should install and operate the SE2002 motor controller.
