Product Description:
The S70602-SENANA-NA-X9 is a Kollmorgen servo amplifier supplied under the S700 Servo Drives series. Designed for closed-loop control of brushless and induction motors, it converts the plant supply into a modulated three-phase output while monitoring feedback in real time. The product occupies the motion-axis position in distributed or cabinet-mounted automation systems and supports EtherCAT and CANopen networks for coordinated movement. By combining power conversion, fieldbus communication, and integrated safety functions, it simplifies installation in packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and printing machinery.
Its continuous output capacity includes a rated current of 6 Arms from a mains voltage range of 208–480 V. At that load, the drive processes up to 4.5 kVA of apparent power and stores energy on a DC bus that may rise to 900 VDC during regeneration. The insulated-gate output bridge switches at 8 kHz, balancing switching losses with current-loop bandwidth. Standard printed circuit boards and a conformal coating protect the electronics in typical cabinet environments. The hardware can also accommodate optional external encoder or I/O cards when an application requires additional interfaces.
Short-term demands are supported by a two-second peak current of 18 Arms and a five-second limit of 12 Arms, allowing rapid acceleration without requiring a larger cabinet transformer. Safe Torque Off uses dual-channel STO, allowing the system to support Category 3 or higher stop functions with minimal wiring. For lower acoustic emissions, the PWM frequency can be shifted to a reduced-current carrier frequency of 16 kHz. Braking energy can be routed to the internal 75 W, 33 Ω resistor or to an external assembly rated at 1 kW with the same 33 Ω resistance. The controller accepts a 24 VDC auxiliary supply and provides two bidirectional digital I/O points and four dedicated digital inputs. EtherCAT and CANopen interfaces are integrated into the controller, so those communication networks do not require an expansion card.
