Product Description

Kollmorgen is a company specialized in the field of motion equipment for industrial applications. With its selection of drive, actuators, motion controllers and servo motors, Kollmorgen brings a lot of technological value to the market. The S31061-SE-SB belongs to the SERVOSTAR 300 line of servo amplifiers, that are used to control synchronous motors, DC motors, AC motors and high frequency spindles.

The power supply for the device needs a voltage of 110 - 230 V AC (50 - 60Hz) monophase or triphase. The rated current that the servo drive is able to supply continuously to the connected motor is 10 A, while the peak current is 20 A (note: this peak current can be maintained for a period below 5 seconds). The DC bus of the device allows a maximum voltage of 450 V DC. In case of overvoltage on the DC bus, it is possible to install a brake resistance to dissipate the excessive regenerative energy through the resistor. It is also possible to couple more servo drives in order to have a shared DC bus.

The device configuration should be carried out with a commissioning tool that will download parameters using the drive RS232 port. This drive also provides a set of programmable I/Os: 2 analog inputs, 4 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs. This servo drive is equipped with an extension SERCOS II communication interface, that allows the drive to communicate or be controlled to other devices, for example PLCs or motion controllers. The Safe Torque Off (STO) safety function is integrated within the servo drive via a single-channel dedicated input, that allows the device to reach a SIL level 2 and a Performance Level D.
