FZECU200X65-33 is a regen resistor. Its alternate part number is BAR-250-33. The resistor regenerates or shunts energy from the DC bus during motor load acceleration. This is necessary because if the energy is not dissipated, it feeds back into the drive, potentially leading to an over-voltage condition. This external regeneration resistor allows dissipation of excess energy, which enables normal drive operation during braking. Correct resistor sizing is critical for safe and reliable drive system operation. Resistance of the FZECU200X65-33 resistor is 33 Ohms and its power rating is 250 Watts. The peak power rating is 400 Watts. Kollmorgen provides its Motioneering software application for proper sizing and calculation of the resistance value needed for a system. This resistor is compatible with the following drives: AKD-x00306 to x00606, AKD-x00307 to x01207, S701 to S712, and several others.
