Product Description

Kollmorgen is a manufacturer of industrial automation products and motion control products.

The NEXTSTEP-240 is a highly sophisticated micro-stepping drive that combines all the features of a drive control system and a motor. This model comes at a competitive price and provides enhancements, high performance, and convenience. The micro-stepping drive has been designed for a long life, durability, and can increase the throughput of integrated systems that are unprecedented using open-loop positioning systems. The device has a very small footprint and delivers twice as much power as compared to competitive models in the market. This micro-stepping drive is available with high torque NEMA motors. The device comes with descriptive tri-color LEDs to increase operator awareness. Optimal smoothness and step to step accuracy are ensured because of an adjustable motor current waveform. The drive operates from a 240 VAC line voltage and accepts clockwise and anti-clockwise step input.

The NEXTSTEP-240 provides users with up to eight selectable drive resolutions up to 50,000 steps/revolution. The device has a 320 VDC bus voltage with a selectable motor current setting up to 3.9 amps. This model has been designed with a built-in regenerative circuit that dissipates energy from large inertial loads. The device ensures less motor vibration despite increase torque output. The drive comes with an internal cooling tunnel that keeps the drive electronic clean and cool. The system’s efficient design allows it to be stacked together that significantly reduces the panel space. This model comes with a REST switch that reduces the motor and drives temperature when the drive is ON but not in use. The device operates on a 100-240 VAC single phase at a frequency of 50/60 Hz.
