The MTC306B1-R2C1 model is specially designed by Kollmorgen to provide maintenance-free operation in various industrial sectors such as machine tools, textile machines, robotics, and handling systems. The MTC306B brushless servo motor is capable to perform operations under unfavorable climatic conditions owing to its IP65 protection category. The servo motor housing is completely protected against the ingress of dust and low-pressure water jets. For indirect position detection, a resolver is placed in this motor that converts the rotational motion of the shaft into electrical signals and sends them to the respective amplifier for controlling the position and current of the motor. The MTC306B brushless servo motor comes with a 90-degree rotatable power connector to make an electrical connection directly from the 115 – 230 VAC power source. The motor should only be commissioned by highly qualified professionals and it must be used together with the parts and modules specified by Kollmorgen. An integral failsafe electromagnetic brake is placed in this model along with a 24 VDC holding brake.

The model MTC306B1-R2C1 delivers the rated torque of 3.71 Nm at a standstill position while operating at a temperature of 25 degree Celsius. At the operating speed of 4600 rpm, the MTC306B motor delivers the rated power of 2.08 HP (1.55 kW) through its standard output shaft. The motor is designed to operate at the maximum temperature of +40 degree Celsius, without derating.  The motor is UL and CE approved.
