The MMC-SD-6.0-460-S Smart Drive is a three phase motor controller designed for industrial automation applications. It delivers 8.6 kVA nominal input power and operates across a voltage range of 207 – 460 VAC nominal.
The MMC-SD-6.0-460-S smart drive supports flexible installation and integration into control systems with a compact build weighing 16 pounds. The AC input operates at 47 – 63 Hz frequency and supports absolute voltage limits from 187 – 528 VAC. It draws a nominal input current of 10.8 A RMS and can handle up to 20.2 A RMS inrush current. Power loss for the drive is rated at 150 W. The drive also includes a 24 VDC input option with a voltage tolerance of +15% to -10%. The DC input typically consumes 1050 mA and 25 W with an inrush current of 4 A for 10 milliseconds. The F1 and F2 feedback inputs use Maxim 3098 A quad B differential RS422 receivers. These inputs support differential quadrature signals with a ± 200 mV threshold. Input termination is internally provided with 150Ω resistance. The MMC Standalone series smart drive handles encoder input signals up to 720 kHz which equals 2.88 million feedback counts per second. Input voltage tolerance for encoder signals is up to 5 V peak to peak differential. This ensures accurate signal detection in noisy industrial environments.
The Kollmorgen MMC-SD-6.0-460-S smart drive provides 8 general purpose inputs all optically isolated and operating at 24 VDC. Inputs are active high and turn on at 15 VDC off at 5 VDC with a maximum switching delay of 1 millisecond. The model’s general purpose outputs consist of four optically isolated channels rated for 24 VDC. These outputs are sourcing only and active high.
