The M.3000.0471 is a standalone smart drive produced by Kollmorgen for the MMC Standalone Smart Drives series. As a self-contained servo amplifier, the unit converts three-phase mains power into regulated motor power and hosts embedded motion control, so an external controller is not required. It is intended for industrial automation axes that demand high continuous torque and quick loop closure while keeping the drive close to the motor.
This drive can deliver a continuous output current of 55.0 A, allowing constant motor torque without thermal derating, and it sustains a continuous mechanical output of 24.0 kW for large work cells or gantry systems. For rapid acceleration events, the current ceiling rises to 110.0 A, providing a 2:1 overload factor that shortens indexing time. The input side supports up to 26.3 kVA of nominal apparent power, so upstream circuit breakers and cabling must be sized for that demand. A dedicated 24 V control rail is protected by a 4 A supply fuse that isolates the low-voltage electronics from faults on the main bus. The nominal input current is 33.1 A RMS, and internal losses are limited to 600 W, which simplifies enclosure cooling.
Loop update bandwidth is supported by a current regulator refresh every 125 µs and a velocity loop refresh every 250 µs, enabling tight torque and speed tracking when paired with the BiSS feedback interface.
