The M.3000.0460 is a standalone smart drive produced by Kollmorgen within the MMC Standalone Smart Drives series. It functions as a compact servo amplifier that converts three-phase line power into regulated motor currents, allowing control of velocity, torque, and position through closed-loop feedback. The drive can be integrated into decentralized cabinets or mounted directly on machinery. This arrangement supports distributed motion systems used in packaging, material handling, and light assembly cells.
The electrical section is rated for a continuous output of 10 A, while momentary demand can be served by a peak capacity of 30 A. Its thermal design supports a 2 kW power level under normal cooling conditions. The unit belongs to the 230 V voltage class and will trip if the DC bus exceeds the 420 VDC overvoltage threshold, helping protect internal components during regenerative events. Three-phase mains supply the drive, and BiSS serial feedback provides high-resolution position data for commutation and closed-loop motion control. The bus and regenerative terminals accept an external resistor when a large kinetic load must be decelerated quickly.
