The M.1302.8130 is a standalone servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the MMC Standalone Smart Drives series. The unit combines power conversion, axis control, and safety logic in a single housing, supplying precision current to brushless servomotors used on packaging lines, pick-and-place modules, and material-handling stations. By integrating drive intelligence at the machine frame, it reduces cabinet wiring and allows distributed motion nodes to exchange commands over the selected fieldbus.
The drive delivers a rated mechanical output of 0.5 kW, while its input stage is sized for 1.0 kVA of apparent power, so the supply must handle reactive and real loads. Normal operation draws 5 A RMS from the AC line, and the inverter can provide 2.5 A of continuous phase current to the motor for steady-state motion. Voltages above 420 VDC on the bus trigger an overvoltage fault. A 70 A inrush current flows when the DC link charges, so input contactors and fuses need sufficient surge tolerance.
