The Kollmorgen M.1302.7095 belongs to the MMC series as a standalone smart drive designed for multi-axis motion control tasks.
The device uses an X3 platform that combines both a 32-bit RISC processor and a built-in numeric coprocessor to handle real-time industrial automation tasks effectively. The device provides 256K of program space and 128K of RAM plus 64K of user memory that supports motion programs and control functions. The device features both a 2 MB flash disk for extra data storage and a 3V BR2032 lithium battery to save its system settings and time-of-day clock data when there is no external power supply. This system can handle 18 servo axes when programmed for an 8 ms or 4 ms update rate while controlling 16 axes at 2 ms and expanding to 8 axes at 1 ms and 3 axes at 0.5 ms before reaching a single axis at 0.25 ms. This wide selection of update settings lets you fine-tune the controller for ultrafast motion control with excellent precision, even when handling large systems with various interconnected axes.
