The M.1302.5247 is a standalone smart drive produced by Kollmorgen within the MMC Standalone Smart Drives series. As an AC servo inverter, it interfaces directly with three-phase power and governs motor torque, velocity, and position loops in modular machinery and material-handling cells. By combining control and power electronics in a single housing, the drive simplifies cabinet wiring and provides local axis control for distributed industrial automation.
This model operates from a line supply of 3 x 480 VAC, allowing direct connection to common plant mains without step-down transformers. At an ambient temperature of 40 °C, the power module delivers a continuous output current of 56 A. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, so the drive must be mounted inside a protected cabinet. The input bridge operates with utility networks at 50/60 Hz, making it compatible with both standard line frequencies. The control boards and power devices remain operational within an ambient temperature range of -25 °C to +55 °C; operation outside this range requires output derating or additional cooling.
