The M.1302.5246 is a standalone smart drive supplied by Kollmorgen within the MMC Standalone Smart Drives series. This unit operates as a three-phase servo amplifier that converts fixed-frequency mains power into regulated current for motion axes in industrial automation. Intended for decentralized mounting, it combines power electronics, control logic, and diagnostics in one housing, allowing conveyor sections, pick-and-place heads, and compact gantries to operate without separate control cabinets. Its integrated design also reduces the number of external components and connections required for each controlled axis.
The enclosure is rated IP20, which prevents accidental finger contact with energized parts when the drive is installed inside a ventilated panel. The power section accepts up to 3 × 480 VAC at 50/60 Hz, allowing direct connection to common factory mains supplies. Under nominal thermal conditions, it supplies a continuous output current of 42 A at 40 °C. The drive supports overloads of 1.5 times the nominal current for less than 1 minute per hour at 40 °C, accommodating brief acceleration peaks without exceeding the stated duty cycle.
