Product Description:
The M.1302.5241 is a standalone servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the MMC Standalone Smart Drives series. Designed to mount directly inside control cabinets, the unit integrates power electronics and motion control so it can run a compatible motor without an external amplifier. In factory automation, the drive regulates torque, speed, and position by converting three-phase mains power into controlled motor current. This integrated arrangement supports motion applications that require a compact controller and direct coordination of motor operation.
The drive provides a continuous output of 7 A from a mains input rated at 3 × 480 VAC, 50/60 Hz. During short transients, it can deliver up to 1.5 × In, allowing additional acceleration or braking torque before current limiting engages. Internal power loss is 4 W, which limits the amount of heat released inside the cabinet. Terminals accept conductors up to 4 mm², accommodating commonly used motor cable sizes. The housing carries an IP20 rating, providing protection against finger contact when the drive is installed in an indoor control panel. The insulation withstands 2.1 kVDC from phase to phase and 2.7 kVDC from phase to ground, supporting operation in industrial power systems.
The permitted operating temperature ranges from -25 °C to 55 °C. Above 40 °C, the output current is reduced by 1.4% per °C to protect the semiconductor components from excessive thermal stress. The drive can operate at elevations up to 2000 m, covering installations at a wide range of industrial sites. Storage temperatures range from -25 °C to 85 °C, allowing the unit to be kept in locations without continuous climate control. With a mass of 0.6 kg, the drive places little mechanical load on DIN rails or cabinet backplates. Its compact size also helps preserve space for neighboring control equipment, cable routing, and ventilation clearances within the enclosure.
