Integrated servo loops and onboard processing let the unit command motors directly, reducing panel space and cabling in applications such as pick-and-place stages, feeders, and auxiliary machine axes.
This drive contains 1 analog input for velocity or torque reference signals and 2 analog outputs that can retransmit internal variables to external indicators or drives. Program storage is supported by 256K of application memory, which holds compiled motion logic and parameter sets. A 32-bit RISC core with a numeric coprocessor runs at a clock rate of 32 MHz. The control kernel executes a 2.5-axis analog servo loop, allowing one interpolated master axis to synchronize two followers. Four uncommitted DC outputs for each axis accommodate brake relays or status lamps, and three encoder inputs accept incremental or absolute feedback devices.
