M.1017.3772 is an MMC 2-axis analog unit. It is made by Kollmorgen. The unit offers a solution for machine and motion control. It can be programmed via the PiCPro programming software. An Ethernet interface and a DeviceNet master interface can be installed on the unit in the field. Two main components of the control include a motion control board and a machine control board. The M.1017.3772 supports standard speed, 256K application memory, 128K RAM, and 64K user memory. It can support 8/4/2/1/0.5 millisecond update rates with 2 axes and 0.25 millisecond update rate with 1 axis. The unit has a 32-bit RISC processor with integrated numeric co-processor. The battery is a 3 Volts coin cell. Incorrect battery replacement can lead to explosions. An RS-232 serial port is available for PC connectivity.
This serial port support selectable baud rates and the maximum baud rate is 57.6K. The M.1017.3772 unit requires 20 to 30 Volts DC input and draws 250 milliamps.
