Product Description:
The KSM 100-2-PN is an open programmable safe PLC designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. It features 20 safe Input Outputs, 3 safe cut off channels, and 14 safe inputs. The KSM 100-2-PN also features memory card slots to ease configuration. The controller’s I/O can be expanded using the backplane bus to handle up to 30 Safe Input Outputs and 12 safe axes. For connectivity, the controller has an on-board PROFINET (fieldbus) interface that has a speed of 100 Megabits per second in full-duplex mode. For monitoring, the Kollmorgen programmable logic controller (PLC) features functionalities such as cross circuit monitoring and dimensional functions for zone and safe speed monitoring.
The KSM 100-2-PN is part of the Kollmorgen KSM 100 safety controllers. Controllers in this family has a rated operating temperature of between a minimum of 0.0 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 50.0 degrees Celsius. Their storage temperature, on the other hand, ranges from a high of +70 degrees Celsius to a low of -10 degrees Celsius. Additionally, controllers in the KSM 100 series have a maximum terminal cross section of 1.5 millimeters (squared) and support snap-on mounting on standard head rail.
