The VP-508CEAN-12 is a durable power cable produced by Kollmorgen for electrical connection in the industrial servo system. This cable is designed to transfer electrical energy from the servo drive to the industrial servo motor.  The cable jacket of this power cable is made of Thermoplastic Elastomer; this material provides the cable with high thermal insulation, allowing the cable to withstand temperatures as high as 105 degrees Celsius. The VP-508CEAN-12 power cable has a rated voltage of about 600 volts; the application of this wire in the industrial servo system improves industrial productivity as the electrical interference is reduced and the industrial processing devices are supplied with a higher power density. This power cable has an external diameter of 10.25 millimeters and a bend radius of 102.5 millimeters. This cable has been repeatedly tested for the presence of hazardous substances, and it has been certified to meet the international quality and safety standards.

The VP-508CEAN-12 power cable is about 12 meters long; it also weighs 1.784 kilograms.  This power cable is renowned for its flexibility and ability to withstand high mechanical loads; thus, it is the preferred cable for complex industrial wiring operations. The VP-508CEAN-12 comprises three smaller 14 AWG wires and a fourth wire which helps in the conduction of leakage currents.

The VP-508CEAN-12 is designed with a connector through which the cable is inserted into the industrial motor. Although the VP-508CEAN-12 is very safe for industrial applications, operators should ensure that it is not used to conduct electrical energy that is far above the rating stated in the wire’s documentation. Since the cable is used to transmit electrical current, operators should ensure that a regular check for wear and tear is conducted on the power cable.
