The VP-507BECN-12-00 servo cable is produced by Kollmorgen and belongs to the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It is supplied as a prefabricated harness for linking AKM synchronous motors to AKD servo drives in stationary control cabinets. The assembly carries three-phase line voltage and protective ground from the drive to the motor, supporting regulated torque delivery and limiting conducted noise around nearby electronics. By using factory-terminated connectors, the cable shortens installation time and provides consistent contact resistance across repeated machine builds.
As a stationary cable, the VP-507BECN-12-00 is intended for fixed routing, so its jacket compound is meant for limited flex life rather than continuous drag-chain movement. It is used for power transmission only, so communication cores are omitted to keep the cable compact and reduce coupling between power and signal circuits. The internal conductors use a dual topology that separates the phase conductors from protective ground within a single sheath to maintain creepage spacing. At the drive end, a keyed 5-pin power plug mates directly with AKD output terminals, and the tinned copper conductors support a continuous current of 6 A without exceeding the permissible temperature rise.
The cable is matched to AKD inverters and terminates on the motor with an AKM < 6 A Molex receptacle that aligns with smaller frame AKM units.
