The VF-DA0411N-03 feedback cable is manufactured by Kollmorgen and belongs to the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It connects an S200 servo drive to a motor-side SFD transducer so position and diagnostic signals can return to the controller. Shielded twisted pairs help reduce interference in industrial environments where stable encoder feedback is needed for accurate servo response. Because feedback and diagnostic channels share the same assembly, the cable reduces the need for separate signal runs between the drive and motor. Its role is limited to signal and low-power feedback transmission rather than motor power delivery.
The cable is supplied in a fixed length of 3 m, which suits short internal runs in compact cabinets and nearby machine assemblies. At the drive end, an IEEE 1394 style molded plug carries the feedback lines through 6 contacts on a 2.0 mm pitch. The pin arrangement supports the feedback power and RS-485 signal paths used by the transducer, while leaving two positions unconnected for marker functions. Copper conductors are sized to 22 AWG, which helps balance electrical performance with cable flexibility. This conductor size is appropriate for the low-current feedback circuit and supports orderly routing alongside other control wiring.
At the motor end, signal transmission is supported by a differential impedance of 81 Ω at 1 MHz, which helps preserve signal shape on the twisted pairs. A sealed IP65-rated Euro connector helps keep dust and coolant out after the connection is locked to the motor housing. Total loop resistance stays below < 3.33 Ω, which limits voltage drop in the feedback circuit. This allows the embedded electronics to receive the specified 5 VDC supply during operation. It also supports consistent communication between the transducer and the drive during normal closed-loop operation.
