The M.1302.8632 servo feedback cable is produced by Kollmorgen for the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It serves as the signal link between a resolver-equipped servomotor and its drive, allowing closed-loop positioning and temperature monitoring in automated machinery such as pick-and-place gantries, indexing tables, and conveyor zones. By combining multiple low-level circuits inside one protective jacket, the cable minimizes installation time and preserves signal integrity over the distance separating the motor housing from the control cabinet.
This assembly is supplied in a factory-terminated length of 9 m, enough to span most machine frames without coiling excess conductors. The jacket carries a Hi-Flex rating, so it tolerates continuous motion in cable tracks without conductor fatigue. Internally, four twisted pairs are arranged to reduce magnetic crosstalk and maintain resolver accuracy. On the drive end, a 15-pin HD male D-Sub connector is fitted; its compact shell mates directly with Kollmorgen feedback modules and routes signals to designated pins. This plug has an angled configuration, turning the cable exit 90 degrees so wiring can follow the side wall of a narrow cabinet while respecting the minimum bend radius.
The motor side is equipped with a straight circular connector that threads onto the resolver housing and seals the instrumentation cavity. All feedback conductors terminate at the drive’s F1/F2 port, where the control electronics receive a resolver interface. Three resolver excitation and return pairs, identified as COS±, SIN±, and REF±, occupy individual twisted pairs, while separate conductors carry the 9 VDC, +5 VDC, and COM supply lines to the transducer. An additional pair carries the TEMP+ and COM signals so the drive can reduce torque if the winding temperature rises. The matched impedance across every pair preserves differential signal quality and supports precise motor commutation during high-speed operation.
