Product Description:
The M.1015.6927 is a factory-terminated servo cable produced by Kollmorgen for the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It serves as the power and feedback link between a DSM drive and an NSM series motor. The cable allows motion controllers to carry motor current and feedback signals through one rugged assembly in automated machinery, reducing the number of separate cable runs required between the control cabinet and the motor.
This assembly is supplied in a length of 25 ft (7.6 m), providing adequate reach from control cabinets to moving axes without excessive slack. Conductors exit the connector in a straight orientation, so the cable can follow a direct path to drag chains or energy tracks. It mates directly with DSM family controllers, with the DSM007 serving as the first compatible type at the lower end of the power range. The cable insulation system supports 115 VAC and 230 VAC RMS supplies, allowing use with either line voltage. Its outer jacket consists of a thermoplastic elastomer that resists cutting oils and flex fatigue while remaining pliable inside dynamic cable carriers. A shield beneath the jacket helps block radiated electrical noise and is connected at the drive end to provide low-impedance grounding.
Mechanical compatibility is limited to standard-sized drives only, which helps prevent clearance problems when the cable is installed beside auxiliary modules. The molded backshell withstands temperatures up to 105 °C, and its black PVC body matches the surrounding Kollmorgen panel components. Electrical interference is controlled by a copper screen with at least 85% coverage, reducing the effect of electromagnetic noise on the enclosed feedback conductors. The screen uses a braided construction that provides both flexibility and continuous shielding during repeated cable movement. Mating contacts are embedded in a polyvinyl chloride dielectric so each conductor maintains adequate electrical isolation. Polyvinyl chloride also surrounds the individual wires, providing additional resistance to coolants, cleaning agents, and other chemicals commonly present around automated production equipment.
