The ENDAT-AKM-006M-MCS-DCA-28-NA is a feedback and power extension cable produced by Kollmorgen for the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. Designed to connect AKM synchronous servo motors to AKD or S700 drives, the assembly transmits encoder data and auxiliary supply voltages needed for closed-loop control in automated machinery. The cable routes position feedback from the motor to the designated F1/F2 drive port while carrying logic power in the same jacket, simplifying installation within static sections of the machine. Combining these conductors in one assembly also reduces the number of separately routed cables between the motor and drive cabinet.
The cable uses a 7-pair 28 AWG, 1-pair 16 AWG, and 1-pair 22 AWG conductor layout with twisted pairs that separate encoder, power, and temperature signals to minimize crosstalk. With an overall length of 6 m, it serves machines where motors are mounted near the cabinet but beyond the reach of onboard terminal strips. A molded 15-pin HD male D-Sub connector is fitted on the drive side. Its 45-degree strain-relief angle allows access to crowded F1/F2 ports without forcing the cable into an excessively tight bend.
