The cable carries the position, commutation, and status signals required for closed-loop motion control in industrial automation cells.
The cable uses a Hi-Flex jacket so the conductors endure continuous chain motion without fatigue. Its overall length is 9 m, allowing controller cabinets to be mounted a moderate distance from the axis while maintaining signal integrity. A D-Sub 15-pin HD male connector terminates the drive end and is molded at a 45° angle to reduce bend stress where it exits a panel. Inside the jacket, the feedback lines are organized as eight pairs of 28 AWG twisted conductors that minimize crosstalk between the A, B, and index channels. The motor side is a straight plug that mates directly with the encoder housing, and the twisted-pair format works with the commutating encoder to keep phase information aligned with motor rotation. Supply lines carry 9 VDC, +5 VDC, and COM so the sensor electronics remain within their specified voltage range.
