Product Description:
The CP-SS-RAHBE-06 is a factory-assembled power and brake cable produced by Kollmorgen within the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It links a drive amplifier to a matched servo motor so that phase current, protective earth, and brake conductors are carried in one sheath. In automated machinery, this assembly simplifies routing through cable tracks and maintains electromagnetic compatibility between the drive and the moving axis while enduring repeated motion typical of gantries, pick-and-place arms, and packaging lines.
The cable is supplied with a length of 6 m, which is adequate for connecting motors positioned inside medium-size machine frames without intermediate junctions. Its designation as a Power/Brake type means three power cores and two brake leads share the same jacket, eliminating parallel runs. Voltage durability reaches 1000 V, matching drives that operate on a 115/230 VAC system voltage. Continuous shield coverage of ≥85% formed by a tinned copper braid reduces radiated noise and helps protect encoder feedback lines routed nearby. A polyurethane (Q) outer jacket resists coolants, and polyolefin or polypropylene core insulation works with fine-stranded copper conductors to limit conductor temperature rise during peak current flow.
For dynamic cable track service, the design limits bending to 10 times the outer diameter and supports a flex life of 10 million cycles at 10 × D. In coordinated motion stages, the cable withstands linear accelerations up to 40 m/s² and traversal speeds of 240 m/min without jacket cracking. Insulation resistance remains 20 MΩ × km, so leakage currents stay negligible even after prolonged flexing. A screw-terminal X9 plug mates with the drive, while the motor end carries an IP65 Euro connector that seals against oil mist.
