Product Description:
The CFR0A1-002-003-00 is a servo feedback cable produced by Kollmorgen within the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It links a drive controller to the feedback connector of a Kollmorgen motor in automated machinery. This connection returns position data to the control loop while protecting feedback signals from interference and transmission loss.
The factory-assembled cable has a length of 3 m, allowing direct routing inside compact cabinets, while the permissible cable run can extend up to 100 m when required. Signal conductors have a cross-sectional area of 0.25 mm², balancing voltage drop with the flexibility required for incremental and absolute encoder channels. At the drive end, the harness terminates in a 15-pole HD Sub-D female plug that locks to compatible feedback modules. The opposite end carries a 12-pin M23 coupling that provides a secure connection to the motor. With an outside diameter of 8 mm, the cable fits common drag-chain clamps and gland plates. Its gray polyurethane jacket supports continuous flexing and resists abrasion and exposure to coolant. Differential pairs are surrounded by tinned copper braid with 85% optical coverage to reduce electromagnetic interference, while the conductor insulation supports a rated operating voltage of 300 V.
The internal geometry consists of four twisted pairs, allowing each encoder channel to benefit from matched impedance and low crosstalk. A tinned copper braid shield works with an insulation resistance of 20 MΩ·km to maintain signal integrity over long cable runs. The cable has a mass of 89 kg/km, which limits the load placed on cable carriers in high-speed axes. Its insulation provides dielectric strength up to 1 kV. Eight numbered cores simplify conductor routing within the connected equipment, and the oil-resistant Q-coded jacket protects the internal wiring in industrial environments. The cable can span its permitted mechanical length without splice joints that could introduce additional resistance or weaken shielding continuity.
