Product Description:
The CFE0A1-002-1M5-00 is an encoder cable produced by Kollmorgen for the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It links AKM servo motors to AKD amplifiers, allowing position data to move reliably between machine axes and the controller in industrial automation cells. Matched connectors and flexible cable geometry help preserve feedback signal integrity while the assembly withstands the repeated mechanical stress found inside moving cable tracks.
This model is built around a 7 × (2 × 0.25 mm²) core layout, which provides the conductors required for feedback, clock, and auxiliary signals within one cable. The conductors are arranged as twisted pairs to reduce differential noise while retaining the flexibility required for repeated bending. The overall screen uses a shielded braid and foil combination to limit electromagnetic interference from nearby motor power cables and switching equipment. The cable is finished with a protective PVC jacket that guards the internal conductors against abrasion and fluid splashes during industrial operation. On the panel side, encoder signals terminate through a Sub-D female amplifier connector, and the shield braid is bonded directly to the connector housing to drain high-frequency interference to ground at the cabinet wall.
At the drive end, the feedback leads connect through an AKD X10 High Density plug. On the motor side, they mate with an AKM&C/CH Connector 1.0 that carries the required lines across 17 molded pins. The assembly supports EnDat and BiSS serial formats, using its differential channels for clock and data transmission while auxiliary supply conductors remain inside the same sheath. A factory-applied shield clamp within each backshell provides continuous 360-degree coverage and bonds the cable screen to the connector housing. Temperature-stable insulation helps keep conductor resistance and impedance predictable as the machine warms during normal operating cycles.
