Wake Industrial LLC is not an authorized distributor of this product.
The Kollmorgen CFE0A1-002-001-00 is part of the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series and is designed as an encoder feedback cable with a length of 1 meter and a maximum cable length of 50 meters. It features a 15-pole HD Sub-D interface for the drive, a 17-pin M23 interface for the motor, and supports EnDat 2.1 and BiSS B encoder interfaces. The cable is constructed with PETP core insulation and PUR sheathing, is suitable for trailing cable use, and is rated for 10 million bending cycles.
Internal Product Review
The CFE0A1-002-001-00 is a Kollmorgen encoder feedback cable built for accurate signal transmission in servo systems. EnDat 2.1 / BiSS B support and a 15-pole HD Sub-D drive interface simplify integration with compatible motion hardware. PUR sheathing and trailing-cable capability make this cable an excellent fit for repetitive-motion applications.

Product Description:
The CFE0A1-002-001-00 is an encoder feedback cable produced by Kollmorgen for the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. As a dedicated interconnect between a servo motor and its drive, the assembly carries incremental or absolute position data while maintaining signal integrity in automated production lines. The cable construction and shielding allow encoders inside AKM and other compatible Kollmorgen motors to report shaft angle precisely to the drive electronics, enabling the control loop to regulate torque, speed, and position without added communication delays.
Its conductor set follows a 7 × (2 × 0.25 mm²) layout, meaning seven twisted pairs of 0.25 mm² cores provide balanced channels for clock, data, and supply signals. The drive end terminates in a 15-pin HD D-sub connector (X10) that plugs directly into compatible Kollmorgen S300 or AKD drives, while the motor end uses a rugged 17-pin M23 circular plug that mates with the feedback receptacle on the servo housing. Signal coding supports the digital EnDat 2.1 and BiSS B interfaces, so the same cable can transport high-resolution absolute position data or real-time BiSS data streams. A PUR jacket resists oil, coolant, abrasion, and repeated flexing, while the cable shielding helps protect feedback signals from electromagnetic interference generated by nearby power conductors and switching equipment.
Standard assemblies are available in 1 m increments, allowing the cable length to suit the machine layout without excessive slack. The design remains electrically stable over a maximum cable length of 50 m between the encoder and drive amplifier. In dynamic cable carriers, the outer jacket, strain-relieved terminations, and PETP core insulation support a service life of 10 million bending cycles. The cable includes conductors for motor temperature sensor signals, allowing the drive to monitor thermal conditions and respond if the motor approaches an unsafe temperature. Shield continuity is maintained through the connector housings, and approval for trailing-cable use permits installation in high-speed gantries that move during every production cycle.
