The CF-SS-S3HGE-09 is a servo feedback cable produced by Kollmorgen as part of the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. It links a Kollmorgen drive to a motor, carrying sine-encoder signals and thermal sensor leads so the control loop can track rotor position and winding temperature during automated motion tasks. The cable is intended for trailing-chain installations where continuous movement is required on handling robots, pick-and-place axes, and other dynamic machinery.

The conductor set follows a 7x(2x0.25 mm²) layout, giving fourteen shielded signal cores that keep differential encoder pairs electrically balanced. A jacket of PUR resists oil, weld splatter, and flex fatigue while retaining flexibility in tight drag chains. The assembly is supplied in a factory-terminated length of 9 m, eliminating field cutting that could compromise impedance or shielding. At the drive end, a 15-pin Sub-D connector mates with the X1 feedback port, and the design endures up to 10 million cycles of bending without conductor breakage. Additional features include PETP core insulation to minimize friction between pairs, a connector-housing shield termination that drains common-mode noise, and a trailing-duty rating that allows high-speed carriage travel.

Signal integrity over distance is supported by a capacitance of <120 pF/m. Even at the series-rated maximum of 50 m, analog encoder amplitudes remain within the drive's tolerance window. On the motor side, a Euro IP65 circular connector seals the feedback pins against coolant spray and dust. The cable is classified as sine-encoder feedback, meaning the twisted-pair screen and LiYCY (TP) designation are tuned for 1 Vpp sine and cosine channels rather than digital halls. Thermal contact leads are already integrated so over-temperature trips can share the same harness, reducing cable bulk inside moving carriers.
