The CF-SS-RHGE-03 is a resolver feedback cable manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the Kollmorgen Servo Cables series. This cable links a resolver-equipped servo motor to its drive, transferring low-level position and speed signals so the control loop can track rotor angle in real time. By pairing the drive-side Sub-D connector with the sealed Euro interface on the motor, the assembly simplifies feedback wiring inside automated machinery and motion platforms.

The cable uses a conductor geometry of 4x(2x0.25), meaning four shielded pairs are formed from conductors that each have a cross-section of 0.25 mm². All eight cores use fine-gauge stranded copper to keep resistance low while maintaining flexibility for dynamic cable chains. Signal integrity is further enhanced by the twisted-pair arrangement, which balances inductive and capacitive effects along the run. A molded sheath holds the bundle to an outer diameter of 8 mm, supporting compact routing through machine conduits. At the drive end, a 9-pin Sub-D plug fits the X2 feedback port, and the opposite side terminates in an IP65-rated Euro connector for direct mounting on Kollmorgen resolvers.

Electrical performance includes a continuous rating of 300 V and a withstand test of 1 kV, giving headroom for noise spikes that can appear beside high-power phase leads. The differential resolver signals see only 90 pF/m of core-to-core capacitance, while the core-to-shield capacitance remains 120 pF/m, helping the drive’s reference transformer operate without excessive phase shift. A tinned copper braid surrounds the pairs, diverting external electromagnetic fields to chassis ground and helping suppress common-mode currents. This shielding is useful when the cable runs beside motor power leads or other sources of electromagnetic noise.
